On March 26th, Tichenor Clinic for Children proudly celebrated its 100th Anniversary with a joyful Ribbon Cutting Ceremony held at the front entrance of the clinic. The event brought together 85 supporters, friends, and longtime advocates to honor a century of service dedicated to improving the lives of children and families.

The celebration included remarks and recognition from local leaders, including Assemblymember Josh Lowenthal (69th District), Olina Benson (Office of Senator Lena Gonzalez), Jeanette Christian (Office of Supervisor Janice Hahn), Jeff Williams (Office of Mayor Rex Richardson), Nick Kaspar (Office of Councilmember Kristina Duggan), and Kimberly Lie from the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. Tichenor was honored with multiple certificates of recognition commemorating this historic milestone.

As the ribbon was cut and bubbles filled the air, guests celebrated both Tichenor’s rich history and its continued commitment to compassionate care and community partnership. Guided tours led by Speech-Language Pathologist, Jessie and Lead Physical Therapist, Karsti, were a highlight, offering attendees a meaningful look into the heart of our work.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration so wonderful and special thank you to the Port of Long Beach for sponsoring this historic event!
