Our 6th Annual Superheroes Carnival and Resource Fair held last Saturday, June 5th, was a SUCCESS! We loved to see many familiar faces, happy kids, and happy parents! Of course it wouldn’t be possible without all of our Sponsors! Global Paratransit Inc., Port of Long Beach (Polb), BBSI , Flex Learning, Citizen Advisory Commission on Disabilities, Asplundh Engineering Services, Harbor Regional Center , Councilman Daryl Supernaw, Fourth District.

Families received: PPE (surgical masks, N95 masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, clear face shields, cloth mask, etc.) thanks to California State Council on Developmental Disabilities, food boxes with fresh produce and dry food thanks to the Collins Neighborhood Association, toothpaste thanks to Board Member Marc Allmeroth & Dr. Petra Wilder-Smith, and resource bags with information and activities for the kids from 33 local agencies! Thank you to the following agencies who joined us in person at the Carnival! The Family Resource Center at Miller Children’s Hospital, Ability First, ChildNet, Harbor Regional Center, Camp Kesem, Arise Program, The Long Beach Park and Recreation, LBUSD Head Start , The Long Beach Police Department, Long Beach Transit, LBC Hero Squad, Special Needs Network, Learning Rights TIGER Program.
We also want to thank the Rosaliano family who provided fresh churros onsite, A Future Superhero & Friends for delighting the kids and donating toys, WAWOS for the wiki sticks packets, all the beautiful books from Bring Me A Book and a wide assortment of fun toys from Moose Toys, Ruth Cruz for the amazing decorations, the amazing DJ Carlos of Iluminación y Sonido Verzatil who energized us all throughout the day, and all families who shared snacks and beverages with other families.
