Dear *{{First Name}}*,
How are you feeling in the final days of 2021?
Google recently released their annual "Year in Search," sharing that across the world, people were searching at record-breaking rates "how to heal."
We lost loved ones and searched "how to honor someone."
We felt deep loneliness and searched "how to take care of my mental health."
We searched for answers. We searched for hope. "How to be strong" - Wonder Woman showing us her muscles during our Halloween drive-thru event! We'd like to offer some of our thoughts.
Want to connect? Reach out to one person today, let one person in your life know what they mean to you. A phone call, handwritten letter, postcard, email, or text - we guarantee you'll make someone's day.
Want to help your community? Volunteer to help clean up our beaches (and learn more about plastic pollution), assist at a vaccination site, offer 1 hour of your musical skills to visitors of St. Mary Medical Center's lobby. Opportunities abound.
Want to heal? If you are feeling anxious, scared, depressed, lonely - help is available. There are sliding-fee scale mental health services here, hope & healing grief support here, and a host of other crisis resources here. You *can* heal.
![]() Take a few minute to move your body every day. Or, lie flat on the floor, close your eyes, and just breathe. Here at the clinic, we don't have to look far to find hope. Each of you gives us hope.
Tichenor families show us every day their resilience and generosity, doing everything humanly possible to access care for their children while supporting each other in a journey dotted with obstacles.
Partner organizations like NAMI, NVC Academy, Collins Neighborhood Association, A Future Superhero & Friends, Miller Children's Hospital (Family Resource Center, Stramski Children's Developmental Center, Pediatric Rehabilitation), Harbor Regional Center, California Children's Services Long Beach Medical Therapy Unit and more - Long Beach offers a wide network of care and resources for families.
Donors like you who believe that every child and family should have access to care to support them to thrive. Your gifts make it possible for us to offer low- to no-cost therapy services for families who might otherwise go without. Thank you for your continued support! ![]() Hugs from all of us at Tichenor Clinic for Children Wishing you and your loved ones a peaceful, joyful, and above all healthy holiday season. ![]() Kathryn Miles Executive Director
