Brenda: “It’s a blessing, this place is a blessing for the community, the city of Long Beach and other cities as well.”

Feb222023
Stories

Brenda grew up the youngest of 5 and always felt a little bit neglected when it came to her health, her feet were one of those areas.

Her toes were overlapping on top of each other and she started developing painful bunions at a very early age.

The doctors at Tichenor Clinic informed Brenda’s mother that she needed surgery and that more evaluations needed to be done. Her mother told the doctors that they didn’t have medical insurance or the money for all of the care she would need.

“The doctor asked my mom ‘How much money do you have in the bank account?’ and my mom looked at me and I looked at her and the smiles that we had kind of dropped because we didn’t have money. He told them, ‘We’re going to take care of your daughter, everything will be covered.'”

“It’s a blessing, this place is a blessing for the community, the city of Long Beach and other cities as well.”
